Ordinance Would Mandate Stock Exhaust Systems on All Motorcycles
Attention New York City Area Motorcyclists!
Motorcyclists who live in, commute to/from, or just visit New York City should be aware that the New York City Council will seek to mandate stock exhaust systems on all motorcycles.
On December 18, the City Council will consider Int 416-A, an ordinance that would prohibit parking any motorcycle equipped with straight pipes on the streets of the city of New York. The ordinance defines a “straight pipe” as any exhaust system other than stock.
