Dear Motorcycle Club Members,
On August 10th 2008 STMC, The Sport Touring Motorcycle Club is holding its 2008 START Sport Touring Annual Road Tour to benefit Jawonio, the Rockland County, NY affiliate of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York.
This American Motorcycle Association sanctioned tour will offer (2) great routes, a scenic 100 mile ride, and a special adventure route for dual purpose bikes, and will be followed by food, entertainment, raffles, displays and more, at the 23 acre Jawonio campus in New City, NY.
Jawonio annually provides comprehensive services to over 5600 children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Over 1000 children receive services from Jawonio each year, and your support will provide some the necessary funds to enhance the services these children deserve. For more information about Jawonio, please visit our website at: www.jawonio.org.
We sincerely hope you will participate in this exciting ‘new’ event, and hope you will distribute these flyers, and encourage your members to attend. If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring, or displaying their merchandise, or equipment at this event, please contact me at: 845-639-3542 or by e-mail at: info@jawonio.org.
| Hey everyone sorry so late, but believe it or not we just found out about this. |
This event looks like it will be a great time. If you are in the area stop by and check it out. We would like to hear from anybody who does attend this event to get some feedback. I’m trying to fit this in before I go to sturgis. Like Always Ride Safe and Ride often. See You on The Highway,Mr.Magoo
.38 Special is headlining the week…
You can always tell when summer comes the trees are full, the days are getting warmer, and people are getting ready for that ride to Sturgis, South Dakota. This being the 68th year this is an event people go out of their way to attend. The scenery is spectacular, riding is great, and most of the locals go out of their way to make you feel at home. Of course riding in the Black Hills of South Dakota is the main reason to come to Sturgis. And on top of that, Harley-Davidson usually unveils their new models for the up and coming year during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Among all the different events happening there’s also going to be the 6th Annual Mayor’s Ride, Michael Lichter’s annual exhibit, AMD’s World Championship of Custom Bikes, free style stunt riders, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum And Hall of Fame, along with multiple bike shows and concerts throughout the area. The 68th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is August 4th thru the 10th, but people will probably be rolling in around the beginning of August or even late July. I was surfing around the web when I came upon a tentative schedule of some of the happenings this year. Hope it helps, check back from time to time as we get more info we’ll post it. See Ya on the Highway, Mr. Magoo
| P.S. I got this schedule from the web site bikeweek.com. I noticed that they also list events from other states.(who knows could be another resource for things to do. |
